Application of Fertile Chip in Infertile Couples
Fertile Chip is primarily recommended for couples struggling with infertility caused by male factors. It is particularly helpful in cases involving abnormalities related to:
- Sperm motility (asthenozoospermia),
- Abnormal sperm morphology (teratozoospermia).
It also allows for the selection of sperm based on DNA fragmentation. Sperm selection using this method is not performed in cases of extremely poor semen parameters, as the sperm would not be capable of navigating the microchannels to reach the collection chamber.
How Does It Affect IVF Success Rates?
Sperm selected using Fertile Chip is characterized by:
- Significantly higher sperm motility,
- A higher percentage of sperm with normal morphology,
- High DNA integrity.
As a result, the resulting embryos develop better, thereby increasing the chances of achieving pregnancy.
