IVF treatment success rate at Klinika Bocian

We are very scrupulous and transparent in collecting and making statistics available to patients, and this distinguishes the Klinika Bocian in the market. The results we show are based on data collected from 98% of the female patients of the clinic. We stay in touch with them, we check not only the number of pregnancies confirmed with pregnancy tests (Beta HCG result), but also clinically (visible in ultrasound). Patients can therefore learn how often the embryo is implanted in the uterine cavity after transfer and how many pregnancies continue to develop.

Based on the statistics that we regularly conduct and report to the European IVF Monitoring (EIM) Consortium run by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). In this case, the results of all female patients are analysed, regardless of their age. Our fertility clinic presents statistics divided into IVF cycles, transfers and also into age groups, which can be found below.

IVF success rate in Poland - cycles and transfers

We show the effectiveness of the IVF procedure at the Klinika Bocian divided into IVF cycles and embryo transfer. These analyzes accurately present the quality of our work. A typical IVF cycle includes the following steps:

  • ovarian hormonal stimulation,
  • egg retrieval,
  • eggs fertilization in laboratory conditions,
  • embryo cultivation,
  • fresh embryo transfer,
  • freezing the remaining embryos with developing potential and their transfer at a later date (FET)

One IVF cycle is completed when pregnancy is achieved or all embryos from the procedure are transferred. The statistics present the effects of the entire IVF program. We include pregnancies confirmed in the beta HCG test, as well as clinical pregnancies. Additionally, we present the effectiveness of treatment with donors gametes.

The IVF cycle may include a different number of transfers, it depends on the number of obtained embryos, as well as the effect of pregnancy. For a complete picture of the effectiveness of IVF, we present statistics of individual embryo transfer, fresh and frozen embryos.

Couples who cannot obtain their own embryos can perform IVF with Donor Egg procedure/treatment. The frozen embryo from the adoption programme is transferred./Transfer of a frozen embryo from the adoption program.

IVF success rate in diffrent age groups

The success rate of IVF depends to a significant degree on the age of female patients. The younger the woman, the higher the probability of successful in vitro fertilisation. Meanwhile, there is a worrying trend in the market for selective statistics covering only the youngest female patients.

At the Klinika Bocian, each pregnancy is equally important for us, so we show statistical distribution of chances for a successful IVF across different age groups. We offer a wide range of treatments tailored to the needs of both younger and older female patients.

Age group to 35 y.o.

A female patient who starts treatment at the Klinika Bocian undergoes a detailed interview with the doctor about her medical history and is thoroughly examined to select the most appropriate and most effective treatment as needed. If in vitro fertilisation carried out with the fresh embryo fails, next time it is possible to take advantage of frozen embryo transfer (FET), which entails much lower costs and an increased probability of successful treatment in one stimulation.

The fertility of women is reduced with age - not only the number of egg cells is reduced, but also their quality. The chances of successful in vitro fertilisation with the use of the woman’s own oocytes are still high, and they increase further during the second or third procedure.

Patients of this age often have the first experiences of treating infertility behind them. However, in these cases, pregnancy is still likely. There are more or less advanced methods supporting in vitro fertilisation, which may be recommended by a doctor to the patient after appropriate diagnostics.

Usually, women who decide to undergo an IVF procedure after 45 years of age - unless they have their own frozen oocytes or embryos - need oocytes obtained from proceure IVF with Donor Egg. Patients in this age group are then most likely to get pregnant.
