IVF treatment success rate at Klinika Bocian

We are very scrupulous and transparent in collecting and making statistics available to patients, and this distinguishes the Klinika Bocian in the market. The results we show are based on data collected from 90% of the female patients of the clinic. We stay in touch with them, we check not only the number of pregnancies confirmed with pregnancy tests (Beta HCG result), but also clinically (visible in ultrasound), and the key element, so in how many cases the procedure were finalized with childbirth. Patients can therefore learn how often the embryo is implanted in the uterine cavity after transfer. They are also informed about how many pregnancies continue to develop and how many of them finished with the baby delivery.

IVF success rate in Poland - cycles and transfers

We show the effectiveness of the IVF procedure at the Klinika Bocian divided into IVF cycles and embryo transfer. These analyzes accurately present the quality of our work. A typical IVF cycle includes the following steps:

  • ovarian hormonal stimulation, - Klinika Bocian

  • Egg retrieval - collecting egg cells , - Klinika Bocian

  • eggs fertilization in laboratory conditions, - Klinika Bocian

  • freezing the remaining embryos with developing potential and their transfer at a later date (FET) - Klinika Bocian

One IVF cycle is completed when pregnancy is achieved or all embryos from the procedure are transferred. The statistics present the effects of the entire IVF program. We include pregnancies confirmed in the beta HCG test, as well as clinical pregnancies and chikdbirths. Additionally, we present the effectiveness of treatment with donors gametes. Why do the statistics results of babies delivery refer to 2021? The reason is simple, because the pragnancy usually lasts nine months and we wait until the last patients from the given year will become parents

The IVF cycle may include a different number of transfers, it depends on the number of obtained embryos, as well as the effect of pregnancy.

Tranfers are performed with fresh embryos (ET-embryo transfer),as well as with frozen (FET – frozen/thawed embryo transfer). We present statistics for both methods. In case of IVF failure with fresh embryo, there is a possibility to use frozen embryos(FET), which is much cheaper and increase the success probability from one stimulation.

IVF success rate in diffrent age groups

The success rate of IVF depends to a significant degree on the age of female patients. The younger the woman, the higher the probability of successful in vitro fertilisation. Meanwhile, there is a worrying trend in the market for selective statistics covering only the youngest female patients.

At the Klinika Bocian, each pregnancy is equally important for us, so we show statistical distribution of chances for a successful IVF across different age groups. We offer a wide range of treatments tailored to the needs of both younger and older female patients.

IVF success rate in diffrent age groups

Sucess rate in the age group to 35 y.o.

A female patient who starts treatment at the Klinika Bocian undergoes a detailed interview with the doctor about her medical history and is thoroughly examined to select the most appropriate and most effective treatment as needed. When the first procedure is performed, the highest chances for the pregnancy and childbirth have patients under the age of 30. They usually have a large number of good quality eggs, who are able to be fertilised and develop further correctly.  .

IVF success rate in the age group 35 - 40 y.o.

The fertility of women is reduced with age - not only the number of egg cells is reduced, but also their quality. The chances of successful in vitro fertilisation with the use of the woman’s own oocytes are still high, and they increase further during the second or third procedure.

IVF success in the age group 40 - 45 y.o.

Patients of this age often have the first experiences of treating infertility behind them. However, in these cases, pregnancy is still likely. There are more or less advanced methods supporting in vitro fertilisation, which may be recommended by a doctor to the patient after appropriate diagnostics.

Usually, women decide for IVF procedures over 45, if they do not have their own oocytes or embryos previously frozen, then they need oocytes obtained from a donor. Therefore, patients in this age group have the the biggest chances to be pregnant.

Methods increasing the IVF success rate

The IVF procedure also includes methods and techniques supporting in vitro fertilization, used along with the specific recommendations of the doctor. The effectiveness of the treatment depends on many factors, especially the patient's individual medical situation.
