Our First Attempt

Eventually, we underwent IVF in England, where we live, through the public healthcare system. Because of severe, progressive endometriosis and low AMH, I underwent surgery intended to improve our chances of pregnancy with IVF, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. Sadly, this was also our first and last publicly funded attempt.

When the disease returned, I was referred for another laparoscopic procedure. We decided not to go ahead with it and instead began looking for help elsewhere.

A Chance of Success

That was when we decided to visit Klinika Bocian in Białystok and see Dr Grzegorz Mrugacz. At that stage, the Doctor told us that our chances of success were low, but he believed there was still a chance – and that motivated us to keep going.

Dr Mrugacz quickly developed a treatment plan, and it turned out to be exactly the right approach. Our very first IVF attempt was successful, and in January of this year, our healthy baby boy, Janek, was born.

We are so happy that we placed our trust in Dr Mrugacz, and we cannot express how grateful we are for his professionalism and expertise. His extensive knowledge and approach gave us the strength to keep going and filled us with optimism. At the same time, we were aware that the treatment might not succeed, as I was already 35 and my condition was progressing.

Today, together with our 6-month-old son, we would especially like to thank Dr Grzegorz Mrugacz for his expert care and for helping us make our greatest dream come true. Thank you for your professionalism, for being available when we had questions outside our appointments, and for your straightforward approach with us.

We would also like to thank Dr Zaręba for making the right decision to extend the protocol during stimulation, and Dr Elwira Jasińska for her attentive care during the first weeks of my pregnancy and for answering all our questions and concerns.

We are grateful to the embryologists, who kept us informed about each stage of their work and always treated us with great care and professionalism. We would also like to thank the entire medical team at the clinic for their efficient and professional care, as well as the wonderful ladies at reception, who always carefully guided us through each step of the process, explaining everything again whenever necessary and significantly reducing the stress associated with the entire procedure.
