A Miracle Happened

My name is Teresa. My husband and I tried to have a baby for ten years. I lost my first pregnancy in the third month. The doctors told me that perhaps the baby had been unwell and my body had rejected the pregnancy – and that was the end of the explanation. Two years later, I became pregnant again, but I lost the pregnancy in the third week. At the hospital, they did not recognize that I was pregnant and instead said that my period was simply late. I was sent home despite being in pain. At home, I became swollen and suffered severe cramps. We called an ambulance several times, but each time I was simply given an injection.

No one listened when I said that I was having a miscarriage.

Eventually, my husband went to a gynecologist and explained what was happening. I was prescribed medication that allowed my body to complete the miscarriage. If it hadn’t been for that, I might not be here today.

Despite these traumatic experiences, we continued searching for help and consulted various specialists. But no one ordered further tests. Instead, IVF was repeatedly recommended because of my age – I was 32 at the time.

We weren’t convinced that IVF was the right option for us. If my body kept rejecting pregnancies, we felt there had to be an underlying reason.

We would fight for our dream of having a baby, then give up, then try again. Eventually, I no longer had the strength to keep going from one doctor to another and hearing the same answers over and over again.

That was when my sister recommended Dr Bartosz Pietrzycki to me.

I went to see him, and something changed. I decided to fight for our happiness one more time.

Dr Pietrzycki ordered a comprehensive series of tests, and based on the results, he assessed our chances of having a child. At first, I still couldn’t become pregnant, so we scheduled an insemination procedure for August.

But then a miracle happened.

In April, I discovered that I was pregnant.

Dr Bartosz Pietrzycki looked after me throughout my entire pregnancy. I received wonderful care, had a wonderful delivery, and finally welcomed our precious baby, Szymon.

I gave birth to my son at the age of 38. Today, he is a healthy, energetic child.
